The 911 Carrera, 3.2 liter, engine will be the most
expensive part of the conversion... providing that you already own the van. The 911 engine
is like having money in the bank as it holds its value through the years. So after you
have grown tired of the 911 Vanagon (highly unlikely), reverse the conversion and sell the
engine for top market price.

ORDERING INFORMATION: Kits may be ordered by cashiers check or
Visa/Mastercard. 50% deposit is required at time of order and the remaining balance due is
payable prior to shipping. There are NO COD shipments. Delivery of kits range from two to
eight weeks.
NOTE: Use of any 911 engine other than the 3.2L Carrera, will
cause the engine to protrude through the engine cover on the Vanagon floor. The MSDS
conversion system is designed with the 3.2 engine for purposes of not decreasing cargo
area space, use of the fold down bed, and keeping the floor as flat as possible.
To complete this conversion, Porsche parts are required and
are not included in this kit. These parts are listed by part number in the instruction
sheets. These parts are related to: DME electronics, oil tank and accessories, and rubber
engine mounts.
A heavy duty Fitchel and Sachs pressure plate and machined
spacer plate flywheel ring are included in the kit. This will work with your stock 2 or 4
wheel drive transmission, starter motor, clutch disc and throw out bearing. If a Porsche
G50 transmission (2WD) is selected for your conversion, you will not need them. Instead,
MSDS will provide the G50 front transaxle-to-frame mount and shift rod adapter.
If your van is equipped with a MPH/RPM dashboard cluster, it
is probably best to have this converted to a six cylinder model. This takes MSDS about ten
days, sent to VDO and then returned to you via UPS. See option list for price of
recalibration. If there is no tachometer in your van, you might consider the optional VDO
tachometer (see options), or custom installing the Porsche 911 tachometer in your dash
board. A VDO oil pressure gauge is included in this kit.
Kits for automatic transmission models are not available at
this time, sorry!
WARRANTY: MSDS, Inc. will warranty its goods to be free from
defects in materials and workmanship for a period of six months, or six thousand miles,
whichever comes first. Defective goods will be examined by MSDS, then repaired or
replaced. Goods resold by MSDS, Inc. from other manufacturers are warranted directly
through those companies. MSDS, Inc. is not responsible for any damage caused by delays,
failure or any consequential damage arising from any cause whatsoever, to vehicle or power
plant applied to, nor labor, transportation, loading, rental car costs, refusal by your
mechanic to install parts, or any other charges in the use of our products. Installations
are available by appointment, call for cost. Please be sure that you are 100% ready to
proceed with this conversion, these custom built kits are non returnable or refundable.
